For the most part, the waterfront area of Downtown Miami is outdoors. Take Bayfront Park and Bayside for instance. There, you can enjoy the luxuries of outdoor mall shopping with a mix of live music, and kiosks full of eye candy to keep the kids occupied. Be careful however, if you are caught there any time from May to September's end; you better bring a raincoat for those daily rain showers.
The AT&T Amphitheater is located in the heart of Bayside. Here you will generally see local sunbathers and picnic-goers. Since the opening in 99' the outdoor theater has been the site of many cultural events as well as live artistic entertainment; including reggae festivals, and musical performances.
If you are into the club scene, and don't like the clutter of South Beach , there are clubs in Downtown Miami you can check out. With their 'bi-level high energy' atmosphere, they have become the hottest place to go for nightlife entertainment. Space is home to world class DJ's, and the 'aristocrats of the club land'. The point is: when you are in Downtown Miami you can get everything; from Pubs/Bars, to Alternative to Jazz, to Hip Hop, to House music, to live Latin music, to Gay and Lesbian atmospheres. It's never a dull moment in Miami . |
